How much does a complete dog grooming service cost in Lugano?
We love dogs and want them to be cared for lovingly and with great care.
We offer fair prices. A dog wash costs CHF 40 for small dogs with short coats. Dog washes for larger dogs start at CHF 60. Washing and cutting your dog's coat starts at CHF 65.

How long does a dog grooming session take?
The duration of your dog's treatment depends on its size and coat length or condition. It can take anywhere from half an hour to 3 hours.

Can I stay with my dog during the dog wash?
Of course, you can stay with your dog at our dog salon. This is especially recommended for dogs that are very anxious. Stay with your dog and help them if they have problems, fears, or are simply not used to it yet.

What products does Dog Shop Paradise use for dog grooming?
We only use the best possible, high-quality products for washing and grooming your dog. We select the most suitable product for your dog's coat and skin condition from 17 different shampoos. The results are unique. Of course, our products are tested and approved, often even on an organic basis.

Do you have experience with my dog breed?
We have been experts in the field of dog grooming for many years and groom all dog breeds. For example, poodles, Shih Tzus, schnauzers, spitzes, terriers, retrievers, and huskies. We wash and groom dogs using shampoos specially formulated for their breed. For example, we have an extra care line for poodles, long-haired dogs, dogs with rough coats, or even combinations for heavily soiled coats (additional pre-wash). There is also a special line for dogs that are prone to knots or matting.

Do you also groom and bathe cats in your dog salon?
Yes, and we are very happy to do so. We offer special times for grooming cats, for brushing or washing them. When there are no dogs left in the salon. This is to spare cats unnecessary stress. Cat owners are welcome to stay and help.

How often should a dog go to the dog salon or how often should it be washed or groomed?
Depending on the breed, we recommend not leaving too much time between visits. This saves the dog or cat unnecessary stress, as knots or tangles can form in their coat. 
For dogs with long coats, such as Maltese, poodles, and Shih Tzus, we recommend grooming every 4 to 6 weeks.
For dogs with medium-length or double coats, such as Spitz, Golden Retrievers, Huskies, Shiba Inus, etc., we recommend every 6 to 8 weeks.
For owners of dogs with rough coats, we recommend a visit to the groomer every 8 to 12 weeks.

What can I do if my dog's coat quickly forms knots?
We recommend thoroughly drying and brushing your dog after each time it gets wet. We also offer affordable brushing services for your dog every 1 to 2 weeks. This is provided that the coat is not too dirty, as this would damage its structure. In this case, it is better to have it washed right away. 

What can I do if my dog is very anxious or it is his first time at the groomer?
We adapt to your dog, not the other way around! With lots of love and patience, we take the time necessary to make it a pleasant experience for your dog. You are also welcome to stay with your dog during the treatment to calm him down.
If necessary, we will make a second appointment one or two days later. For example, we can cut the coat on the second visit and just wash the dog on the first visit.

What if my dog doesn't like the dog dryer or being blow-dried?
We have found a good solution for this too. We dry them slowly and from a distance. We have an open box in which your dog is dried safely and quietly. We recommend this for all sensitive and noise-sensitive dogs! The treatment time is a little longer, but gentler. 

Can I have my dog's coat cut in a specific style?
We usually cut according to breed standards, but we are open to your requests. You can also bring a photo of the desired cut and we will discuss it together and tailor it to your preferences. 

What if my dog has a lot of knots or is matted?
Thanks to our many years of experience and professionalism, we are usually able to handle even these situations. Let's work together to find the best solution so that your dog doesn't have to suffer unnecessarily! That is our priority. We use special top-quality products to prepare your dog's coat perfectly for detangling with a pre-wash and a mask. 

What do you recommend if my dog is very badly or completely matted? 
In this case, we will discuss the procedure with you in detail. In most cases, shearing the coat is the simplest and, above all, the gentlest treatment for your dog.
Unfortunately, we often have customers with dogs that have been traumatized by rough and painful detangling elsewhere. We are terribly sorry to hear that, but that doesn't happen here! We carefully consider what is reasonable for a dog and when we prefer shearing to detangling. 

Can I have my dog's coat cut in a specific style?
