Gracies Story

From dog rescue to paradise.
That's how you could describe the story of this mixed-breed dog.
She was rescued from Spain, where she was kept alone in a small kennel, separated from her mother and siblings.
At five months old, her new owners picked her up directly from the shelter.
They went to great lengths to spare her the long and stressful journey with other dogs in a van – usually an additional traumatic experience for these already sad animals.
Gracie, almost six months old, knew nothing of grass, stairs, cars, beds, petting hands, or even cuddles. Fearfully, she just crawled around on the floor.
Here are the first photos. Follow this blog to learn more about Gracie. She suddenly developed an unexplained paralysis of her hind legs. More on that in the next post.
She was rehomed through the non-profit organization, Forza Rescue Dog.
